Laurel Lafaut – Trailer Trash Chaplain

Posted by

“As I tentatively reached for the doorknob, a scene from Alice in Wonderland flashed through my mind. Do you remember the tiny door that Alice encountered when she fell into the rabbit hole? In the movie, the doorknob morphs into a little face and begins to speak to Alice. Would this doorknob come to life as well, I wondered? Would it sprout tiny ears, whiskers and a pointy snout?… “Explore the adventures of Chaplain Laurel as God reveals the challenges and rewards of living on the fringe alongside the ‘outcasts’ of society. Humorous and intriguing, this book is a compelling read.

I LOVED it! It was funny, it was sad, there was humanity! and so much grace! Those are just the kinds of stories I like to read. You dress up the scene so I can see it but not too much detail the reader gets lost in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Read the first two chapters. It’s hard to put down.
The story was drawing me in and I didn’t want to put it down.

“It was enjoyable for me to shadow you doing chaplaincy in the trailer park – the special assigned setting.
Your openness and self-reflection was refreshing.”
