Author Biography
Bruce Whittington Author, photographer and naturalist Bruce Whittington researched and wrote the text. Bruce, who spends part of the year as an on-board naturalist for cruises along the West Coast, recently published Wildlife Watch on an Alaska Cruise. Seasons with Birds, his first book, is an illustrated collection of essays that introduces readers to birds and birding on southern Vancouver Island. Bruce wrote Island Birds, a weekly column in the Victoria Times-Colonist for more than 10 years. He continues to write articles and lead courses and field trips for naturalists. Bruce lives in Ladysmith, British Columbia.
