A novel of Intrique, Danger, and Global Warming

The story begins when a Russian scientist, Ivan Mazurenko, discovers a chilling new source of methane emissions from the Barents Sea where extensive oil and gas drilling are taking place. Ivan and his Canadian colleague, Eric Nicholson attempt to warn world governments about potential apocalyptic global warming caused by industrial carbon emissions, and accelerated by the offshore methane clathrates and methane release from melting northern permafrost. Unprecedented severe storms are already occurring throughout the globe in response to the enhanced warming. However, a rogue international oil conglomerate is secretly funding thugs to delay the release of the methane research at any cost. They use murder, break-ins, sabotage, and kid-napping to try and achieve their goals.

Meanwhile, Eric’s daughter, Julia, who is conducting a survey on northern pipelines in the NWT for her PhD in environmental law, collects data that confirms the methane threat. Her life is threatened several times during her investigations, but First Nations friends and her brother John protect her. Will governments and the public respond in time to avoid a tipping point in the climate and global catastrophe never before experienced by mankind, or will efforts be too late?

Read this novel to discover the risks some people take to tell the truth and the actions that some corporations will take for the sake of profit. While being entertained, you may learn valuable information about anthropogenic global warming.
